Our firm is the product of Walter Schacht and Cima Malek-Aslani's combined fifty years of experience envisioning and making exceptional buildings. Schacht Aslani Architects was founded in 1996, based on Walter and Cima's commitment to being personally engaged in each of the firm's projects.

Our firm values the relationship between people and architecture. We have an ability to join our clients as partners in a search to make meaningful architecture. We see design as a process of exploration that draws upon an understanding of cultural and physical contexts. Our work has been widely recognized for excellence.

Schacht Aslani Architects provides planning and design services for a wide range of projects, from community buildings to academic facilities, religious facilities, museums and private residences. All of our work involves issues of gathering, learning and culture. To support our clients' needs, we provide comprehensive project management, helping them with communications strategies, project budgeting, fundraising and other activities essential to building consensus and implementing the work.
